6 days !

After reading my sister's post, I am at once confused and jealous. Jealous, because I am currently eating the rest of my friend's dried ramen in my dorm room. So no stir pasta for me. But I did get to make this delicious mini-dessert in the cafeteria yesterday:

(white chocolate chip cookie with frozen yogurt and sprinkles)

I am confused about the alters being erected around our house. Confused, but not surprised.

omg our family has so many raincoats.

we could set up a raincoat library.

dad said we should redecorate, i think he is crazy.

nothing in our house matches or ever will. that is what makes it our home.

i am looking for over the door scarf racks. it is so difficult for some reason -- ikea confuses the hell out of me.

I have been watching a lot of tv recently because a) I don't want to do anything else yet and b) both my volunteer jobs haven't quite been made a official. So I have a lot of time to do things like watch tv.

I have watched all of Community so far. It is quite funny and I laugh lots. The finale is not very good, but I think I will continue to watch.

I have started watching Castle as well, which despite being a crime show, makes me laugh really hard at least once an episode. I like it very much, I feel very emotional about the characters.

Recently my dad and I have got into pasta. It started with my fantastic garlic pasta, but now we have invented something Dad calls stir pasta. Mostly it involves lots of onions, garlic, what ever vegetables we have on hand, and an egg for protein. I am eating very well now that I am home, and Dad keeps making me do aerobic things which is weird, but nice.

I made an alter in the backyard and the dining room and now I have to make one in the front yard.

I want Bryn to come home!! I am bored and I have no one to play with! Also I want her and Lynn to read all the Yotsubas so they can make jokes with me!!

My grandparents visited my college yesterday! They took me to dinner, watched me sing a concert, asked me about my "email capabilities" and promptly left on their way back to Tennessee with two trees in the back of the car...
I am still studying for finals. It is not summer yet.
I ate a bread stick in the Gizmo about an hour ago and before that I had a veggie burger for dinner.
I want to go home. I want to watch Whale Wars.

I AM THE BEST.

I just made a pasta so good that I need to tell everyone (but especially Allie) about it before I go lie on the couch and feel proud of myself for everything I have ever done in this stupid, cold world.

third of a bag of wheat drill noodles from Trader Joe’s

toss in pan with: fresh smushed garlic, vegan butter

season with: salt, crushed black pepper

It was so good I wanted to cry like a little baby harp seal when I was done.

Another Summer, another round of "What did the Kimura girls eat today?" and "How many pictures can we post of ourselves around food?"

Will we update more? Maybe. Probably not. Maybe. We're doing cool stuff this summer:
Reading Yotsuba
Ella is coming!
Adventures with Lynn!
Warped Tour!
David might come!
Grandparents
Baking in our newly dairy-free kitchen
and more!!!

I'm bored. I hope Bryn comes home soon. . .
